Barca-Leeds was thrilled to take part in the first Leeds Trauma Informed Film Festival on 17 October. Held at the iconic Hyde Park Picture House, the event showcased the extraordinary work of local services and the incredible journeys of the people they work with.
Organised by Risk and Resilience in partnership with The Leeds Trauma Informed Network the film festival brought together people from across the health and care sector to connect and celebrate the successes of services who support individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use issues, and other challenges. It was brilliant to see films from our partners and colleagues across Leeds and beyond.
We are incredibly proud to have shared a film at the festival. Our submission showcases our work with young people across Leeds by listening to their voices and choices. It also features a recovery story from Ben who was supported by our Housing Navigators team to find the right support and services to help him become mentally and financially stable and in his own tenancy.
