What we offer

One-to-one support

We provide up to 6 months personalised support to jobless parents and carers, helping them develop a personal action plan to build their resilience and move them closer to employment. Support is tailored to each person and can include:

  • Practical support to move people closer to employment, including developing a career plan, CV writing and matching them with volunteering opportunities, work tasters or training.
  • Practical and emotional support, including help with routines, managing children's behaviour and building confidence and self-esteem.
  • Support to access specialist services like Engage Leeds for housing support or Forward Leeds for drug and alcohol support.
  • Support to access advice services to help with other employment barriers like benefits and debt.

Counselling

Following an initial assessment to explore suitability for support, we offer up to 12 weeks one-to-one counselling support provided by a qualified Counsellor. These sessions can be delivered face-to-face at Manor House in Bramley or remotely over the phone.

Peer support group

Delivered from local community venues in West and South Leeds, our monthly drop-in peer support group provides a safe space for people to coach each other and build new networks. The group is facilitated by a volunteer Counsellor, with topics and themes led by people accessing our one-to-one support.
